The newly-appointed Petaling Jaya mayor has set his priorities for the new job: improve safety, transportation and cleanliness.
Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain, the former council president of Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS) said he wants everyone to get along in order to get PJ’s administrative system running as efficiently as possible, theSun Daily’s Kenneth Tee reports.
He also acknowledged that things would have to be done differently in PJ (compared to his time in Selayang) due to the ‘residents’ demands and expectations’.
“The people in PJ are more vocal and aware of their neighbourhood as the area has undergone major urbanisation. Therefore as mayor, it is crucial to engage with the people there and be updated on the current happenings so that the relevant authorities can take the necessary action,” he was quoted as saying.
