Hardly a week has passed since we last saw Mixology Music emcee WARIS tearing up a music video: last week he and fellow rapper Juzzthin lent their rhyme skills to Mas Idayu’s comeback single on the video for “100% Cintaku”, and today, WARIS drops the official music video for his own new single, in collaboration with local rock legend Hattan.
‘Gadis Jolobu’ is a tour de force of the Negeri Sembilan dialect (or, you know, bahasa nogoghi) that WARIS has made infamous with his breakout single ‘Rembau’s Most Wanted’, made doubly more potent when Hattan lets rip with his own verses in the dialect. Oh, and don’t skip the ending, either. In true Marvel movie fashion, the ‘Gadis Jolobu’ video has a end credits scene and a priceless cameo by … but that would be telling.
