In Petaling Jaya last night, a 26-year-old new mom was found dead in an apartment. Her body was discovered tied up next to her newborn child, who was unharmed, Bernama reports.
The woman was said to have delivered just two months ago.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Azmi Abu Kassim told Bernama that the woman’s husband had to break into the locked house after arriving home from work at 8pm.
The young family did not live there alone, though — they shared it with five of the man’s colleagues. One of them is believed to be the suspect.
“We found a weapon and are investigating whether it had been used by the suspect although there were no visible stab wounds on the victim’s body,” Azmi was quoted as saying.
