A brand new mall is about to open in Gombak in Oct, just 100 metres away from the LRT station and the upcoming Gombak Integrated Transport Terminal (GITT).
The Star Online reports that the 200,000 sq ft M3 Mall inTaman Melati is part of a urban redevelopment plan between the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Gerbang Mekar Sdn Bhd.
This building will become the focal point of the redevelopment plans in Wangsa Maju-Maluri under the KL Structure Plan 2020, DBKL Urban Planning director Sharom Ujang reportedly said.
“Malls in the peripherals such as these will help to reduce traffic going into the city as people can shop for their necessities here. If we can get the residents to go to local malls, then we can reduce traffic congestion by 10%,” he was quoted as saying.
