New Malaysian-owned airline announced

The birth of a new Malaysian-owned airline — flymojo — was announced at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 2015 exhibition today.

The Star Online reports that Fly Mojo Sdn Bhd and Canadian planemaker Bombardier Commercial Aircraft have inked a deal worth US$1.47 billion (RM5.44 billion), for 20 CS100 aircraft with an option for another 20 planes.

flymojo will becomes the first airline to use the CS100 aircraft in this region and will be based in Johor Baru and Kota Kinabalu, the portal reports. 

Operations are expected to begin in October.
