That right, Malaysia’s latest money-making scheme for once isn’t a dodgy multi-level marketing scheme that your dodgy cousin assures you will generate millions.
Nope, this will at least leave you with something to show for those depleted funds. That something could very well be a license plate that spells out “SMS,” “VIP” or even “RIMAU” for the board gamers among us. Feeling excited about the in-coming election? Then maybe “PATRIOT” is for you… at a price, of course.
1Malaysia Artist Foundation (YA1M, and no – that’s not a license plate – yet.) told The Sun that they are releasing a new series of plates beginning with A1M to raise funds for local artists and their families.
Plates will be available beginning in A1M and then going in varied sequences from A1M 1 to A1M 1000.
Fancy spending some money on this? You can place your bids at the Tune Hotel on Jalan Putra from now until October 2. Those who have found their bids to be successful can then dine with popular local artists at a special dinner.
