New flyover from Fed Highway to Section 7, Shah Alam opens today

A brand new flyover — expected to ease congestion in Section 7, Shah Alam  — has officially opened to traffic today.

Costing the state government RM50 million, the five-kilometre interchange began construction in 2012 and is expected to benefit up to 100,000 motorists in Shah Alam.

Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) general manager Azlan Md Alifiah was quoted as saying in a report by Bernama, that the interchange that stretches from  the Federal Highway at the Sungai Rasah Toll Plaza to the Development Area of Section 7, was a state government initiative.

“It will also disperse the density of traffic along Persiaran Kayangan, Lorong Keluli, Persiaran Bistari and Padang Jawa especially during peak hours by 43 per cent,” he said.
