Exciting news if you’ve got vacation time, and a less than favorable exchange-rate to burn: Condor Airlines has just inaugurated their latest non-stop route from Frankfurt, Germany to Kuala Lumpur.

The journey is currently the only direct flight available between the two nations.

Flights leaving Frankfurt to KL will be on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, while the KL to Frankfurt route will be Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Landing at KLIA1 this morning, Malaysia’s ambassador to Germany, Sarah Nava Rani Al-Bakri Devadason, was one of the special guests on board, where passengers received a special cultural dance performance by a troupe courtesy of Tourism Malaysia.

Condor Airlines will use a Boeing 767-300 for the flight, and it will approximately take 12 hours and 20 minutes.

Officials from both countries greeted the passengers at the airport, and airline officials added that they hope the route will promote both economic and cultural exchange.

We’d like a window seat, and we’ll see you at Robert Johnson in give or take 12 hours.
