Never miss out: Malindo Air offers inflight WiFi

Why fly? Wi-Fi!

Okay, maybe just for Malindo Air which recently announced that it would make unlimited Wi-Fi services available on selected flights beginning Monday.

The Rakyat Post reports that the carrier’s internet access will be powered by Panasonic’s eXConnect inflight broadband connectivity which would allow passengers to send email, use social media sites, or even watch videos on their devices.

The airline is also offering Malindo Mobile, which allows passengers to make calls, send SMS or MMS messages, surf the internet through data roaming and utilise other applications available on these devices much as they are able to do on the ground.

The company said on its website: “The use of this service will require passengers’ phone to have roaming enabled. Their cellular provider for their use of the service will bill passengers consistent with the established tariff, like they would while roaming outside of their home territory.”
