Mysterious package on flight causes emergency landing in KLIA … you’ll never guess what they found

An Indian budget airline carrying to 145 people had to make an emergency landing in KLIA yesterday after a crewmember found a mysterious mackage in the plane’s toilet.

The Fire and Rescue team, which went to work inspecting the aircraft as soon as it touched down, discovered that the package contained not hazardous or explosive materials, but three gold bars, weighing in at a total of less than a kilogram.

Selangor Fire and Rescue operations assistant director Mohd Sani Harul confirmed the find and said that the airline made the decision to land due to safety concerns.

The flight crew had suspected the package to contain chemicals.

“It was not chemicals. It was bars of gold stashed inside paper wrappings. It was a very weird find.

“We don’t know where it came from or who brought it onboard. Police are questioning the passengers now,” Mohd Sani told The Star.

The Indigo flight was en route to Chennai from its departure point in Singapore.
