Six months after the devastating June 5 earthquake in Sabah that killed 18 people, Mount Kinabalu has finally opened its summit trail.
The Star Online reports that 135 climbers started their trek to Low’s Peak yesterday. Among them were 53 foreigners.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun told the portal that Sabah Parks is in the process of reviewing climbing fees as well as porter fees after guide fees were increased from RM150 to RM230.
