A youth died after he lost control of his sports bike and crashed into a backhoe along the Penang Bridge on Friday.
The Star Online reported that 19-year-old Mohamad Syazwan Osman died on the spot due to severe head injuries in the 9am incident.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid told the news portal that both vehicles were heading towards the island when the incident happened.
“Mohamad Syazwan lost control of his Kawasaki sport bike at Km7.5 of the Penang Bridge.
“The bulldozer driver escaped unhurt,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
