A 28-year-old woman was sentenced to four days in jail for stealing a bunch of items — including milk powder — from a shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur.
Bernama reports that the mother of two, Norlelawati Ibrahim, pleaded guilty to stealing 12 items worth RM462.96 at Aeon Mid Valley at 10.15pm last Saturday.
Magistrate Mohd Rehan Mohd Aris ordered the sentence to begin from the day of her arrest on May 28, allowing her to walk free today.
It was reported that Norlelawati pleaded for leniency stating that both she and her husband were unemployed and had children aged 10 and three to feed.
