More Immigration officers arrested over myIMMs sabotage

And the crackdown continues.

The Star Online reports that five more Immigration officers have been arrested by the police for their alleged roles in the sabotage of the Malaysian Immigration System (myIMMs).

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar told the news portal that the officers were arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Wednesday.

“We are still investigating. So far we have made more than 10 arrests and have seized documents from them as well,” he was quoted as saying.

Earlier this month, a total of 15 Immigration officers have been sacked for their alleged involvement in the case.

The police have identified the mastermind behind the system sabotage to be a Malaysian working for a local syndicate.
