More than 1,400 policemen will be on duty for FA Cup final on Saturday

Police will place 1,428 personnel at the Shah Alam Stadium as Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and PKNS FC face off for the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Shah Alam district police chief, ACP Shafien Mamat told reporters today the additional manpower from the organisers as well as the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) — 290 security personnel — would aid police in maintaining order during the match.

“Fans of both teams are required to comply with the regulations and not to bring prohibited items into the stadium,” Bernama quoted him as saying.

“The police will conduct a body search on all supporters, and will also be assisted by members of the canine unit at all entrances to the stadium as a precaution,” he was quoted further.
