Miri woman allegedly raped by two men impersonating as cops

An Indonesian woman was reportedly stopped and handcuffed by two men impersonating as policemen before allegedly raping her.

According to The Star Online, the 30-year-old woman claimed that the suspects, who said they were policemen, forced her into the car outside a Miri shopping mall on Monday morning.

The woman told police that the men threatened to bring her to the police station but instead, they drove to an isolated house and allegedly raped her.

Police chief Asst Comm Khoo Leng Huat told the news portal that the police are currently hunting down the two men, believed to be locals.

The victim, meanwhile, was reportedly sent to a hospital nearby for a medical check-up.
