Sarawak firefighters battled a factory housing-unit blaze this morning, and saved a cat along the way in Kuala Baram this morning.
Miri Fire Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said that the pet belonged to one of the factory’s workers, and he wanted to keep the cat, despite losing everything in the fire.
Law said that he hopes “he will send the cat to a vet for treatment.
The fire began at 6:30am this morning, and destroyed 48 housing units, leaving 70 workers homeless. Faulty wiring is being blamed for the blaze.
