Mild earthquake hits Ranau

A mild magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Ranau, Sabah just past midnight, with the epicentre about 16 kilometres west of Ranau town. 

The Malaysian Meteorological Deparment said in a post on Facebook early today that tremors could be felt throughout the state.

More than 100 aftershocks have been felt throughout the state since the June 5 earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale shook the state, killing 18 people.
