MH370: FBI check of pilots’ hard drives, flight simulator comes up empty

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation found no incriminating evidence from the hard drives and flight simulator belonging to the pilots of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, reported the New York Times, citing anonymous sources.

in the NYT report, two unnamed sources who have been informed of the US investigations, information gleaned from the pilots’ items, taken from their homes on March 15, yielded few clues to help further the probe on Flight MH370’s disappearance on March 8.

One of the sources, a former US law enforcement agent, said this did not mean the data retrieved should be discarded.

“Something on the drive which does not seem important today could be, when viewed with additional data obtained from the background of the individual, his other activity, interviews and data from the flight recorded,” the source told the NYT.
