MH370: China begins search in its own territory

Chinese authorities have begun searching for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 in its own territory, covering a northern corridor through which the jetliner could have flown after disappearing from radar on Saturday, March 8.

Chinese state news agency Xinhua quoted Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Huang Huikang as making the statement today.

The search for Flight MH370 continues with 26 countries involved in Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, covering a massive area stretching from the Caspian Sea in the north to the Indian Ocean in the south.
