A 36-year-old man was charged at the Kajang magistrate’s court today with murdering his mother last week.
Koh Fong Thiam, who had allegedly killed his 76-year-old mother Koh Po Ying at their home in Taman Awana Cheras, Batu 9, Cheras, did not have his plea recorded, Bernama reports.
According to his counsel Anuar Raof, Koh has been a mentally ill for 15 years and had been treated at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
The elderly lady had been found bludgeoned to death in their home last week just after her son contacted police about the incident.
The murder weapon – a hammer – was found inside the house.
