Men behind shocking, viral road rage stabbing video in police custody

Good news for motorists setting off on their Chinese New Year holiday drive back home: A group of men captured on dash cam stabbing a man whose car they had hit moments before are now behind bars.

The entire thing is pretty shocking (and no, we’re not easy to shock). You can watch the footage below to get a clear picture of just how crazy the whole situation was.

On Monday, Jimmy Soo took to Facebook to upload the clip and explain what had just occurred to his brother and he on Jalan Kuchai.

Waiting for his sibling in front of a row of shops, another car made a U-turn along the road, hitting Soo’s bumper, but not stopping to inspect the damage in lieu of the accident.

Rude.

Although Soo tried to get the other car’s attention by honking, the other vehicle did not stop and continued driving.

His brother arrived shortly after, and the two drove off, in pursuit of the other car, a Proton Saga.

The Proton only made it 400 meters before coming to halt in traffic. What happened next really must be seen to believe.

Two men exited the Proton, with one stepping out from the passenger side and making his way toward Soo’s brother, who had also exited their vehicle.

Without warning, the Proton passenger then shoves Soo’s brother and follows that by allegedly stabbing him in the middle of the busy street. While the alleged stabbing happened off-camera, the gruesome knife wound in photos released later makes it clear enough.

The driver of the vehicle then exited the car, staring silently and smoking a cigarette, as he dispassionately watched the unfolding scene.

Both Soo and his brother sustained injuries, with punches thrown and eyeglasses smashed.

Armed with clear video footage of the suspects, Soo went to police with the clip, along with the license plate number of the car.

The men were picked up later that evening, and are expected to be booked at Brickfields police station.

Looks like someone’s spending the holidays behind bars, which for the good of society at large, is probably the right call.
