A man, who was worried that his underaged girlfriend had gotten pregnant, ended up exposing their secret love affair which eventually led to his arrest.
According to a report by China Press, as translated by The Star Online, the 32-year-old man from Sibu reportedly sent several SMSes to the 15-year-old girl asking if she had her period.
Unfortunanely for the guy, the girl’s parents reportedly saw the texts on her phone and proceeded to question her about the allleged love affair.
The girl finally revealed where the man lived after much coaxing, and her parents then reportedly confronted the man at his home.
The man admitted to sleeping with the girl, and he was worried that she had gotten pregnant.
The Chinese daily reported that the man had also promised to be responsible and marry the girl.
However, the girl’s parents refused the offer and they lodged a police report soon after.
The man was reportedly arrested by the police on Monday and has been remanded to assist in investigations into statutory rape.
