The man who shot a dog with two arrows outside his home in Taman Sinaran, near Balakong has told police he did it to protect his children, according to police.
The Star Online reports that the man was brought in for questioning at the Kajang district police station, but was released yesterday.
The bow and arrows belonging to the man were confiscated, and police are in the process of finalising the investigation. The investigation papers will be submitted to federal PDRM headquarters.
The case is being investigated under Section 429 of the Penal Code, for mischief by killing or maiming any animal of the value of RM25 and above. If found guilty, individuals charged under this law face a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment.
