As a parent, when you see your children in trouble, most often than not you’ll do everything in your power to help them.
But for one dad, he’s decided to let his son rot in jail.
It was a rather dramatic Wednesday morning at a Sessions Court in Ipoh when a man went down on his knees, sobbing and begging for his father to post bail.
According to The Star Online, the man, 26-year-old M. Herry Dass, was allowed a RM3,000 bail by the court after claiming trial to gang robbery on June 24.
Grabbing on to his father’s arms, Herry reportedly kept calling out to his father: “Appa, appa. Please, please, please.”
However, the father, a 55-year-old labourer named V. Mariadass, ignore his pleas and reportedly informed Sessions Judge S. Indra Nehru that he would not be posting bail for his son, before walking back to the public gallery #likeaboss.
Herry continued wailing as the policemen placed the handcuffs on him and dragged him away out of the courtroom.
V. Mariadass told the news portal that this wasn’t the first time that his eldest son had a brush with the law.
In the latest incident, Herry is accused of committing a gang robbery in Buntong on June 8.
“He refuses to work and instead gets into trouble time and time again.
“This is his third or fourth run-in with the law in the last 10 years, and I’ve had to borrow as much as RM20,000 to pay his fines.
“He doesn’t listen. He never learns and I’m fed up,” he was quoted as saying.
Good on you, sir!
