A man who didn’t have his keys tried climb onto the balcony of his condominium in Kota Damansara, and ended up falling 10 stories to his death.
Lee Heng Fatt, 37, found himself locked out of his own apartment when he returned home at about 2am yesterday. Instead of calling his housemate, who was home at the time, Lee decided to climb out of the corridor to scale the wall leading up to his condo’s balcony.
He then lost his grip and fell 10 floors, landing on the balcony of a second floor aparment at about 2.40am.
Petaling Jaya OCP ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said the case was clasified as sudden death, and that Lee’s body was taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem. Lee died of severe injuries to the head.
At the hospital, Lee’s mother was inconsolable and fainted three times when told of her son’s death.
“Please don’t leave me! Why was he so stupid? Why did he do this? I blame myself!” she said, beating her chest in sorrow.
