Penang food stall owner Mohammad Haziq Ammar Mohd Hussain, 27, took action into his own hands last night following a raid on his business by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP). Angry, and disagreeing with their actions, he took they lorry and drove it himself to Pulau Tikus police station to dispute the action taken by MBPP. He was accompanied by several motorcycles of support by his side. The incident occurred at 8:50pm on Jalan Tanjong Tokong. He may have run several red lights on the way there.
Mohammad Haziq told the press that he was angered by MBPP’s actions, and that this was the third attempt at raiding his stall. He has been trying to apply for a license but has been continuously rejected by the city council.
Fed up, he promptly filed a police report against MBPP upon arrival at the station. And in this crazy world we live in, this kind of makes sense.
