An absolutely tragic case of sibling bust-up in Rawang this week: a man was killed after his brother stabbed him to death during a quarrel at their home on Tuesday.
The victim, in his 20s, had been stabbed with a knife and died on the spot in their Bandar Country Homes house, The Star Online reports.
According to Gombak deputy police Supt Mohd Marzukhi Mohd Mokhtar, the suspect was the victim’s elder brother, in his 40s. He was apprehended by members of the public close to the scene of the crime.
“A Motorcycle Patrol Unit team found the victim lying sprawled in a pool of blood at his home and was no longer breathing,” Supt Mohd Marzuki was quoted as saying.
The New Straits Times quotes a neighbour as saying that the argument went of for about 15 minutes.
“My wife, our children and I were resting in front of our house when we heard noises from the victim’s house. The men were quarrelling for about 15 minutes. One of them shouted in Tamil telling the other to shut up and that he would kill the other one,” the unnamed neighbour was quoted as saying.
The suspect will be held in remand for seven days.
