Man shot on highway previously received death threat: police

The 40-year-old general manager who was shot five times on the KL-Seremban highway had previously received a death threat, the police have confirmed.

City police chief Comm Datuk Amar Singh told The Star Online that the man received the threat via a phone call.

According to Amar, the victim had earlier lodged a police report after receiving the threat over an alleged relationship with a woman who was involved in a divorce.

The man is reportedly in stable condition after undergoing surgery on Wednesday, added Amar.

On Wednesday, the victim, who works for massage chair brand Gintell, was reportedly on his way to his office in Damansara at 8.15am when two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire at his car.

He was reportedly shot five times – two on his right hand, two on his neck and one on his chest.
