Man shot dead because of instant noodles

A man in Nabawan, Sabah was shot dead by his brother last Saturday after an argument about instant noodles.

Keningau district police chief Deputy Superintendent Douglas Nyeging Taong told The Star Online‘s Stephanie Lee that the fatal shooting happened after the victim, Peridan Rawang, had scolded his elder brother earlier in the day for sending Peridan’s son to buy some instant noodles.

It was claimed that Peridan was brandishing a sword when he was scolding the suspect.

“It is believed that the suspect later took a homemade gun and shot Peridan,” DSP Douglas said in a statement picked up by The Star Online, adding that Peridan died due to the gun shot wounds on his chest.

In an earlier report, The Star Online reported that police arrested the man’s brother in connection with the fatal shooting.
