You don’t have to meddle with drug deals or anything like that to become a murder target; sometimes, all you have to do to is sell cakes…at the wrong spot.
An incident in Batu Caves involving two Myanmar nationals quickly escalated into an attempted murder — a woman who sold cakes was shot at twice for running her business close to the house of her attacker.
The enraged fellow Myanmar national attacked the woman at 6.30pm on Sunday, The Star Online’s Nadirah H. Rodzi reports.
The 27-year-old woman had reportedly been running her business as usual in front of a shop when a car — a white Proton Perdana — pulled over near her stall.
According to the report, a man got out of the car and began to destroy her stall with a parang. He then fired two shots at the woman who ran to a nearby shop. She managed to dodge the bullets.
“We believe the man was angry at the victim for running her business near his house as it was obstructing traffic. We are tracking him down,” Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy was quoted as saying.
