A 42-year-old man who posed as an Interpol officer on a bus in Kuala Lumpur has been fined RM1,000 by the KL magistrate’s court.
Mohamad Nazir Taib had a strange way of avoiding the RM2 bus far: he got on the bus declaring himself an Interpol officer and went on to check passports of several male foreigners, Bernama reports.
This happened aboard a RapidKL bus at Medan Pasar in Pudu Raya on Jan 17.
It was the better sense of the bus driver who got him caught. The driver lodged a report with bus operator and police arrested Mohamad Nazri — who is unemployed — last week when he boarded the same bus to Kampung Segambut Tengah.
