How sick can this man be?
An unemployed man was sentenced to seven years in jail and ordered to be whipped four times by a Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur for attempting to rape his then eight-year-old sister two years ago, The Star Online reports.
The 23-year-old man pleaded guilty to committing the offence at a rest area beside the Sungai Raja river bank at 8.15am on March 14, 2014.
The man, who was unrepresented, reportedly pleaded for leniency stating that he needed to take care of his mother and sister.
DPP Noor Azrul Abdul Rahman, however, pressed for a deterrent sentence as the accused had attempted to carry out the heinous crime on his biological sister when she was only eight years old.
Sessions judge Najwa Che Mat ordered the accused to serve his sentence starting from Thursday.
In another Sessions Court, he admitted to another charge of raping the same victim outside their house at Seberang Perak on June 18.
He pleaded guilty to committing the act on his sister, who is now 10 years old.
Judge Zulhazmi Abdullah had denied the accused bail and had fixed July 26 for sentencing.
