Man injured in shootout outside PJ kindergarten

A shootout took place outside a kindergarten along Jalan Selangor in Petaling Jaya today, injuring a 41-year-old man.

Bernama reports that the victim, a contractor, was set upon and shot at by two gunmen as the victim walked towards the preschool to pick up his children.

Two shots were fired in the 11am incident, the report said.

Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din was quoted as saying that the victim was wounded in the left leg, but managed to drive himself to a medical centre. He is reportedly in stable condition.

The gunmen, however, managed to escape.
