A man drowned at a waterfall in Kampung Syukur, Dungun yesterday after reportedly getting caught in a whirlpool.
According to a report by the New Straits Times’ Sim Bak Heng, the victim, —a 24-year-old student at Institut Latihan Perindusterian ILP Gebeng — had gone to the waterfall at Lubuk Kain with friends at 3pm Saturday.

A villager reportedly managed to pull Yusuf up 30 minutes later, but it was too late.
District police chief Superintendent Ahmad Zailani told the NST that the body was sent to Dungun Hospital for post mortem.
