A 35-year-old man, identified only as Raymond, was reportedly found slashed to death in a house compound in Pasir Putih, Ipoh on Wednesday.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong told The Star Online that parents who were sending their kids to a primary school nearby stumbled upon the man’s body at 7.30am and immediately alerted the police.
“The man, from Buntong, was found lying in a pool of blood with a crack in his head.
“Based on prior investigations, his valuables such as handphone and wallet were intact,” ACP Sum was quoted as saying.
ACP Sum added that the police found a trail of blood found near the crime scene, suggesting that the victim had run quite a distance before he reached the compound of the house.
