Man fell to his death from the 12th floor of a George Town flat building

It was such a tragic end for this man.

A 37-year-old man plunged to his death at a flat building in George Town on Friday.

According to The Star Online, the victim – identified as Phang Ooi Jit Aun – is believed to have fallen from his Rifle Range flat unit on the 12th floor at around 8.30pm.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Mior Farida­la­thrash Wahid told the news portal that a resident, who reportedly witnessed the incident, alerted the authorities after Phang landed on his car.

Phang’s 70-year-old mother, according to ACP Mior, told police that she was in the toilet during the incident.

She also told the authorities that ther son, reportedly a jobless bachelor, had been depressed for years and was on medication to treat the illness.

ACP Mior told the news portal that the case had been classified as sudden death.
