Man disturbs bee hive and instantly regrets it

You should never, ever kick a hornet’s nest.

Well, in this case, a bee’s nest.

The New Straits Times‘ Amran Yahya reports that a man was attacked by a swarm of bees at the Rembang Panas forest in Kuala Pilah on Sunday.

33-year-old Mohd Azaham Abdullah, had reportedly gone to the forest in the morning with two of his friends to collect honey bees. The bees, of course, scoffed at their idea.

Kuala Pilah Malaysian Civil Defence Department chief officer Sergeant Majeran Lon told the daily that the department received a distress call from one of Mohd Azaham’s friends at 7pm, claiming that the man was attacked by a swarm of bees.

“Together with two JPAM members of, we rushed to the scene. By then, the victim had been taken out from the forest by his friends.

“Mohd Azaham looked really weak and couldn’t walk. His friends were safe and didn’t sustain any injuries,” Sergeant Majeran was quoted as saying.

It was reported that Mohd Azaham was rushed to the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital for treatment.
