A woman was reportedly beaten up by her husband after she got a haircut without his consent.
According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, translated by The Star Online, the incident happened last Thursday at the couple’s house in Kangar, Perlis.
The 29-year-old woman had reportedly dyed her hair in early December, but she was scolded by her husband.
Afraid that her 27-year-old husband would be unhappy, the woman reportedly decided to chop her hair off.
However, little did she know, her action triggered her husband, who suddenly got angry when he saw her new short hairdo and he allegedly started beating her up.
As a result, the woman reportedly suffered injuries to her eye, shoulder and knee.
Kangar deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Zaini Talib told the Chinese daily that the woman lodged a police report on the same day.
Dept Supt Zaini added that the police have arrested the man on Monday and he was remanded to facilitate investigations.
