An accounts clerk’s 28-year-old husband, who allegedly had an affair with his 18-year-old stepdaughter, has been arrested by the police on Sunday.
According to The Star Online, the arrest was made after the clerk lodged a police report and went public with the alleged affair.
Ipoh OCPD Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong told the news portal that the suspect, who works as a lorry driver, was arrested on Sunday.
“He is being remanded for six days until July 1 under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” ACP Sum said in a statement cited by The Star.
On Sunday, the 40-year-old woman claimed that her husband of five years had a child with her daughter. She also claimed that her daughter had given birth to a girl at a general hospital on March 21 and had named her husband as the child’s father in the birth certificate.
