A man almost lost his left arm in a road rage incident in Terengganu on Thursday, according to The Star Online.
Kuala Terengganu OCPD Asst Comm Idris Abd Rafar told the news portal that the incident took place in Batu Enam at 4.40pm when the suspect had tried to cut into a jammed lane.
The victim, who was travelling in a Honda City with his wife and two children to Besut, reportedly honked at the suspect, who was in a Perodua Kancil.
ACP Idris said that the suspect then got out of his car and exchanged words with the victim.
“All of a sudden, the suspect pulled out a parang and slashed victim after a scuffle,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the suspect then fled the scene.
“We have traced the suspect through the vehicle registration number. We also recovered a handphone, believed to be the suspect’s, from the scene,” ACP Idris told The Star.
The victim’s wife lodged a police report.
