Malindo Air starts flying from KL to Mumbai

Malaysian-Indonesian budget carrier Malindo Air has launched its new route to Mumbai, with five flights weekly from KL to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai.

This follows Malindo’s opening of its daily route to Delhi on December 30 last year.

Malindo Air CEO Chandran Rama Murthy said, “As a key commercial and cultural centre in India which successfully marries tradition and modernity against a backdrop of a spectacular landscape, Mumbai has something for everyone, regardless whether you are travelling here for business or leisure. We are increasing our routes and frequencies, which translate to better connectivity, and therefore means better options for consumers to choose from. After Mumbai, the next cities we are spreading our wings to in India are Ahmedabad and Kochi. Other cities such as Chennai are in our radar.”

After Mumbai, Malindo Air is slated to start flights to Ahmedabad on March 19, and Kochi on April 24.
