A Malaysian woman who attended her ex-husband’s wedding and posted about it online says she is sincerely happy for his new marriage.

Cosmetics seller Farhana Farah told Coconuts this today after a TikTok video of her and her daughters at her ex-husband’s wedding in Kuala Selangor drew over 100,000 viewers and comments on how strong she was.

“I’m really happy to see my ex find joy,” Farhana Farah, 35, said. “The kids are happy to meet their new mummy.”

“His new wife gets along well with myself and the kids,” she added.

The video went up on Monday with the caption: “Congratulations to the newlyweds, my ex-husband. Hope you will both be happy together forever.”

It added: “When we were together, we fought a lot, but today, on your special day, I’m happy for you.”

Farhana divorced her husband Ujang Seladang in 2018 after more than a decade of marriage due to reasons she chose not to disclose. The video showed Farhana and her three daughters posing with Ujang and his new wife Arina Nina.

“I actually felt really sad when we divorced back then but it was the best decision for us both,” Farhana said.

Nearly 900 comments were posted to the video.

“You’re such a tough soul,” one of them said.

“We don’t know what’s really going on in her heart, she’s a strong woman,” Shaca Ca said.
