A Malaysian woman narrowly avoided death after a metal rod fell off a lorry and pierced right through her windscreen.

Cass Cheng wrote on Facebook that the terrifying accident happened on Friday (Jan. 13) at 1:42 pm along the PLUS highway.

She said as she was driving a few metres behind a lorry, a metal rod pummelled into her car and pierced the windscreen.

Without a doubt, Cass was profoundly affected by the terrifying experience and expressed in her writing that she believed her life would end there and then.

“It does look like the scene in Final Destination but it’s not, I thought I would die and my dogs were with me, they might die too. Luckily, I was driving slowly.”

Later, Cass revealed to a social news website that she had reported the incident to the police and was looking for witnesses to come forward and assist her in locating the lorry’s licence plate.

She said that the windscreen repairs cost her more than RM1,000.
