In a case of very powderful England, Universiti Teknologi Mara, its Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studues, and Baitul Fiqh at UiTM Seremban 3 campus banded together over the weekend, without consulting the university’s English Department, to organize a “Pedophile Charity Run.”
Upon seeing the confounding poster, netizens could hardly contain their laughter, with most of Twitter wondering exactly if UiTM understood what their charity run appeared to be about.
Was it a running of the pedos? A run for pedophiles? Or simply a celebration of pedophilia? No one could quite understand the gist of the event.
While some argued that the meaning was simply lost in translation, amid the hilarious uproar, UiTM’s Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies apologized for their mistake.
They clarified that the run was not for pedophiles, nor a celebration of them – but an event aimed to educate students on the matter … through sport? Sorry, we’re still confused.
Although we may not always see eye-to-eye with Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, we can’t help but recall his statement earlier this week, calling UiTM a place for “slow learners” to study. They may learn slow, Ku Nan, but if this poster is anything to go by, they can run fast over pedophilia.
