A Malaysian man from Klang, Selangor, and two Thai nationals from Bangkok were detained at the Perlis-Thai border by Malaysian border security this afternoon trying to illegally import 58 bearded dragons and eight sulcate tortoises. The net worth of their haul is valued at RM18,100 (US$4,400).

The Star reports that the trio were arrested following a raid at Kampung Kolam, Malaysia.

If found guilty, the three, whose ages range from 24-years-old to 36-year-old, stand to be jailed for up to 10 years, and fined more than RM200,000.
