Students at Taiwan’s Da-Yeh University are still in shock after the body of a Malaysian student dressed in a Spider-Man costume was discovered on school grounds yesterday.

He has since been identified as Lee Yang Hao, from Ipoh.

His childhood neighbor, Vanessa Fan, who had spoken to him two months ago, confirmed that Lee was a cosplay fan. She described him as hard-working and diligent, having saved money working in Genting before moving to Taiwan to study. At 29-years-old, he was the youngest of his five siblings.

Authorities believe that he fell from the fifth floor of his dormitory building after informing his housemates that he was going to take some selfies outside.

How exactly he fell five stories to his death remains a mystery. His phone was found on the balcony, indicating he had indeed gone outside with it; however, little is known beyond that at this point. Police have yet to classify the case.

The morbid scene was discovered by a passing student, who then informed officials.

Peter Parkers, please be careful. Ain’t no selfie worth risking your life for, k?

Live to watch Tom Hardy in Venom.
