Darren Goh has made it. The Malaysian student has gone viral with his off-beat, slightly macabre Tinder bio.
How viral? Well, let’s just say he’s already been featured on the ultimate trending barometer, Buzzfeed. So, he’s at least as famous as a scowling cat, or unicorn frappuccino.
When his “normal, civilized and pretty” bio section on the dating app wasn’t working, he went rogue, and opted for the more attention-grabbing photo of himself recovering from heart surgery in 2012.
While the 20-year-old’s profile has been shared widely across Reddit and Twitter, with some saying they would “swipe right for Darren,” the harsher realities of fame are colder than a Russian winter. Tinder has a way of breaking people like that, and Buzzfeed will rarely get you laid.
Goh says that “most of them just matched with me to ask me why I’m disrespecting myself, or just to laugh and provide more puns.”
He added pointedly, “I’m still single, and very available.” Oh yeah, and not dead.
