Malaysian professor charged with murdering wife and daughter in Hong Kong

Malaysian associate professor of anesthesiology at Chinese University in Hong Kong was charged yesterday with the murder of his wife and daughter two years ago. The rap sheet of charges was read to Khaw Kim-Sun at Sha Tin Magistrate’s Court.

The victims, his 47-year-old wife, Wong Siew-Fing, and 16-year-old daughter, Khaw Lai-Ling, were both found unconscious inside their locked car on Sai Sha Road, May 22, 2015.

They were taken to hospital, where they later died. An autopsy performed at the time showed both had died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Khaw Kim-Sun was arrested by officers yesterday following a raid on his home earlier in the morning. By the afternoon, he was charged with two counts of murder.
