Malaysian pop artist Eison Chai found dead in Taiwan

Eison Chai, a Malaysian pop artist, was discovered dead yesterday at an MRT station in the Luzhou neighbourhood of New Taipei, Taiwan.

At around 10am, Chai, 40, died after falling from the station building, according to the New Taipei Luzhou police precinct.

No other information was immediately available, based on a report by Focus Taiwan. However, the police confirmed they have opened an inquiry.

Chai became well-known after taking first place in Taiwan’s “Super Idol” season two, which took place between 2008 and 2009.

Eison was married to Taiwanese actress Hitomi Wu.
